Hallo and welcome!
We’re so glad that you’ve stopped by!

Our congregation aims to be a meeting point and religious home for everyone, albeit your home language is English, German or Afrikaans. We offer support in faith and fellowship, opportunity to meet, share, converse and support. Our door is open for all.

We are here for you!

Our church is situated between vineyards and surrounded by the majestic Stellenbosch Mountains. In Somerset West we enjoy the hospitality of St Paul’s Catholic Church. Our congregation stretches from Stellenbosch to Somerset West, with some members coming from Worcester, Gordon’s Bay, Kleinmond and Hermanus.

Our Motto

In 2022, the church committee began looking at ways to come closer as a congregation. Our lives are busy, everyone lives at their hectic pace, small groups meet here and there, but on the whole we do not know much about each other.

We are particularly motivated by the idea that it is valuable to experience community anew at a time when many people feel increasingly isolated….

Pastor

Pastor Ingrid van Sittert was ordained as pastor of Cape Church on April 28, 2024. As of May 1, she was employed as a pastor col at our congregation.

Can you support our team by doing a reading in the service or a help service from time to time?

Please contact the office!

Visits

At some point we are all in a situation where we need support: a visit, a confidential conversation, a walk or simply practical help. It would be nice if you could help here.

Music | Singing

We have a brass band that wants to grow.
Beginners are welcome!

Tea | Flowers

Do you have pretty flowers in the garden or would you like to put flowers on the altar at some stage?

Where do YOU participate? A congregation is made up of many different people, with different

Gifts | Knowledge | Skills

A congregation does not live on automatically.

It needs the participation and the interest of all church members. We invite you to consider where you can contribute. The larger our diverse group of co-workers becomes, the more joyfully we can accomplish much to contribute to the growth of the church.  Are you on the ladder?  Do you take care of the children?  Do you bring altar flowers once a year?  Do you greet people you know and visitors on Sunday?

And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds
