Hallo and welcome!
We’re so glad that you’ve stopped by!

Our congregation aims to be a meeting point and religious home for everyone, albeit your home language is English, German or Afrikaans. We offer support in faith and fellowship, opportunity to meet, share, converse and support. Our door is open for all.

We are here for you!

Our church is situated between vineyards and surrounded by the majestic Stellenbosch Mountains. In Somerset West we enjoy the hospitality of St Paul’s Catholic Church. Our congregation stretches from Stellenbosch to Somerset West, with some members coming from Worcester, Gordon’s Bay, Kleinmond and Hermanus.

WATCHWORD – JANUARY

TAKE NOTE

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

We warmly invite you to our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING in Stellenbosch on Sunday, 15 FEBRUARY 2026, following the church service at 10h00. Your participation indicates an interest in matters concerning the congregation and you can actively participate in decisions. We urge you to attend and to consider running for our Church Committee or nominating someone you think would be suitable. We need more committee members as we currently only have four members and need more for the various tasks and portfolios of our church. The term of office of two current members is also coming to an end.

Recharge…

Our Sunday church services alternate between Stellenbosch and Somerset West. Sunday evening we offer a Student Fellowship service in our church. Please check the calendar to confirm exact place and time

Our Motto

In 2022, the church committee began looking at ways to come closer as a congregation. Our lives are busy, everyone lives at their hectic pace, small groups meet here and there, but on the whole we do not know much about each other.

We are particularly motivated by the idea that it is valuable to experience community anew at a time when many people feel increasingly isolated….

Pastor

Pastor Ingrid van Sittert was ordained as pastor of the Cape Church on 28 April 2024.

At the extraordinary general meeting on 30 March 2025, the congregation decided to call Ingrid van Sittert as our pastor. She accepted this appointment and was officially inducted into her office as pastor of our church on 25 May 2025.

Where do YOU participate? A congregation is made up of many different people, with different

Gifts | Knowledge | Skills

A congregation does not live on automatically.

It needs the participation and the interest of all church members. We invite you to consider where you can contribute. The larger our diverse group of co-workers becomes, the more joyfully we can accomplish much to contribute to the growth of the church.  Are you on the ladder?  Do you take care of the children?  Do you bring altar flowers once a year?  Do you greet people you know and visitors on Sunday?

Our dedicated church committee could use some help!

And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds
