HOPE BEYOND ALL OTHER HOPE
We all enjoy new things—a new car, new furniture, or a new device. Yet we also know how quickly “new” fades. Everything in this world ages, wears out, and eventually passes away, including our own bodies. Time reminds us again and again that nothing here lasts forever.
Into this reality, God speaks a word of extraordinary hope. In Revelation 21, John is given a vision of a new heaven and a new earth, where God makes His home with His people. In this new creation, God Himself wipes away every tear. There is no more death, no more grief, no more crying or pain. The brokenness of this world does not have the final word—God does.
This promise is not wishful thinking. Jesus demonstrated His power over death itself, and through His cross and resurrection, He has secured eternal life for all who trust in Him. For those who suffer, who grieve, who face illness, or who are nearing the end of earthly life, this vision offers a hope beyond all other hope. Our future rests not in fading things, but in a loving Saviour who declares, “Now I make all things new.” With Christ, we can face today and tomorrow with confidence, knowing that our lives are held in His hands and that a glorious future awaits us in God’s presence.
